Stories about climate change are in the news almost every day. 98% of scientists agree that it is happening and that a large contribution is man made.

But everyone responds to the threat in different ways. Richard Heinberg in “Powerdown” 2004 lists four community responses –

” Last one standing” – a battle for the remaining resources
” Waiting for the magic elixir” – trusting that a solution will be found
” Powerdown” – reducing population growth even if this challenges human rights
” Building lifeboats” – local communities working together to prepare.

Hearts and Minds believes that climate change cannot be tackled purely by practical actions. Green TEA needs to engage with people on an emotional and creative level, through education, discussion and creativity. We aim to do this through the following groups and activities:
